Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal was visiting London for a meet and greet with his fans last Saturday (13/12/08).
I have known Ron’s music for about 8 years, and I have known Ron since about 2002.
I drew some caricatures for him, and we kept in touch. In 2005, I finally met him when he toured Europe with Freak kitchen, and that is when I showed him magic for the first time… I guess he was not used to magic:

We have kept contact since. And Ron allowed me to use his music on both my magic videos…
In 2006, Ron joined Guns N’ Roses to replace Buckethead in the line up. His meet and greet was to promote GNR’s latest album, and also Bumblefoot’s latest album, “abnormal”. I met Ron again, and we were very happy to see each other again. Ron autographed my copy of “Chinese Democracy” commenting on the trick I showed him!

Tomorrow, I will be shooting some magic for a short movie.
I will just be the hands of one of the main characters when he performs magic.
I am very excited about it, and I hope to have videos soon.

I would like to thank david Smith and Samar Hasado for shooting / editing the video, and Ron Thal (Bumblefoot) for allowing me to use his music on my videos. The song on the video above is from the album “Normal” (can be found on Bald Freak Music) and is called “Real”.

I am working on a new magic video at the moment with my good friend (and bandmate) David Smith.
David works in video edition and has access to professional gear for shooting HD videos.
We did a first filming session about 2 months ago in a studio in Soho (now closed down), in front of a blue screen, and last Saturday, we went to some of London’s landmarks and shot my performance for a real audience.
We got kicked out of the Thames’ riverside, as apparently it is private property. We then filmed a bit (not legally I assume) onto the millenium bridge, then towards St Paul’s Cathedral. We then moved on to speaker’s corner and hyde park and finally went into a pub around Bond Street.

David is now in the process of editing the video, and it should be available within the next 3 months.

Since last Friday, I am working for www.bollyparty.co.uk, on their club night in Ealing broadway on Friday nights.
Bollyparty is a company organising exclusive Bollywood themed events.
I performed for the first time for them on Friday night, and things went really well. I will be performing there monthly.
The party takes place in Cafe Chai, Ealing Broadway, W5 2NP (2 minutes walk away from Ealing Brodway tube station). The entry is £8 before 10, £10 after.

Dear All, I created a new testimonial page, to replace the previous “comments” page.
This time, you can actually “see” the comments people have written about my magic, rather than read them typewritten by me.

It makes it more fun, and you actually do not have to take my word for it, but the word of the people that experienced the magic!

I yesterday passed an audition for the LSM (London Society of Magician), which is the 2nd biggest magician’s club after the magic circle (which will be the next step, but not for the moment).
I had an 8-minute-of-magic exam, where I had to perform for a room filled with magician.
I mixed comedy and close up magic, and got accepted!!!

Hi All, I will be performing next week at the Soho lounge for an hour and a half, for the birthday of the boss!
That will be the warm up gig for the forthcoming Christmas period!

Hi all,
I will make an appearance on a Channel 4 show next year, in one particular episode.
I have shot the show yesterday, but for legal reasons, I can’t display the pictures before the show is aired. Nor can I tell anything about the actual concept of the show.
I will give more info about it early next year, as it is meant to be aired around March / April next year.
The shoot went well (although I will have to see the final edit at the same time as you when it’ll be aired…), and I think people were impressed. Hopefully, I’ll get contacted again!
I really enjoyed the whole experience!
